Technical Lead, Engineering Pods (JavaScript/React/Next.js/FastApi)

About the role

As the Technical Lead for our engineering pods, you will be responsible for the technical delivery and consistency across 10–20 client-facing teams. You will provide architectural guidance, elevate engineering best practices, and ensure release of robust, production-ready software. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining high standards and scaling technical excellence throughout our projects.

What you'll do

• Guide the technical direction and architecture across 10–20 pods, each with discrete client projects.
• Mentor and support engineers on implementation, engineering best practices, and architectural decisions.
• Uphold and enforce engineering standards in frontend (JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Next.js) across all teams.
• Contribute to backend development for APIs, automations, AI agents, integrations, and internal tooling using Python when required.
• Review and approve pull requests with a focus on maintainability, scalability, and security.
• Break down large features into actionable milestones and safeguard on-time project delivery.
• Identify and resolve technical risks early, proactively unblocking engineers to maintain delivery pace.
• Improve developer workflows, tooling, and engineering processes to increase efficiency and reduce technical debt.
• Clearly communicate technical risks, project health, and estimates to pod leads and clients.

What we're looking for

• Expert-level JavaScript and TypeScript skills.
• Deep experience with React and Next.js in production environments.
• Strong Python experience for backend services, APIs, automations, and integrations.
• Track record of leading technical teams or serving as a technical lead.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers through reviews and architecture discussions.
• Excellent code review abilities emphasizing quality and maintainability.
• Strong grasp of software architecture, system design, and engineering best practices.
• Exceptional communication skills with both engineering teams and clients.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, balancing quality and delivery.
• Capable of making independent technical decisions and driving outcomes across distributed teams.
